A day at sea for the University of Minnesota’s University Relations office. Aboard the mighty Mississippi Queen, staff-pirates were given certificates deeming them worthy of an extra day off. The award letters (authorized by the captain) were rolled up and stuffed in clear bottles, personalized with each person’s pirate name. The ship, renamed affectionately The Morrill Victory, paid homage to the group’s usual port on campus, Morrill Hall.
